STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT

This project spawns from an academic assignment: prepare a design document to pitch a mobile app based on spacial location technology.

The concept I came up with is a game that would pair up two players within the same shrinking geofence, with one having to locate the other in real space through sparse hints and in-game interactions. Something like a hide-n-seek battle royale.

BEFORE FORTNITE WAS A THING >:[

Study on which logo concept better inspired the ideas of playfulness and seeking from the starting concept.

Various stages of prototyping

Study and research for game and interaction design, limits of implemented technologies and solutions, and monetisation proposal

Design Document with branding specification, market research, UI/UX research, technical feasibility, general game rules and design.

Basic design and map

Screens from the interactive inVision prototype (no Adobe XD back then).

PROPOSAL TO STEERING COMMITTEE and CODEMOTION

Years later there was an opportunity to propose the project to PA Evolution (Retelit Group) for consideration. The company had no experience in digital entertainment, so I was called to make a business case for it.

After a conditional yes was granted, the local CodeMotion event was a great opportunity to demonstrate interest both from the public to engage with the product and local talent to join the team.

Name and logotype concept for a new Unit of PA Evolution dedicated to digital entertainment.

The CodeMotion event was a success, bringing some immediate return with a great number of talent prospects for the company. I was also interviewed by the entertainment podcast GameLoop.

The advancement of the project is under NDA.
